In this Jan. 8, 2010, photo, Cleveland Cavaliers center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, of Lithuania, heads to the bench during the Cavaliers' NBA basketball game against the Denver Nuggets in Denver. An official within the league tells The Associated Press the NBA has not threatened to stop a potential reunion between the Cavaliers and Ilgauskas. The Cavaliers traded their longtime center to Washington last week in the three-team deal that brought Antawn Jamison to Cleveland. The Wizards may decide to buy out Ilgauskas, allowing him to become a free agent.

Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas wants to come back to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Ilgauskas was traded last month to Washington in the deal for forward Antawn Jamison and told agent Herb Rudoy to begin negotiations with the Cavs on March 22, the first day he can sign. Rudoy said in an e-mail on Thursday night that Ilgauskas hopes to return to the Cavs and help bring an NBA championship to Cleveland.
