Before Edge could refocus his sights on the World Title a old “Friend” returned in the form of Matt Hardy. The two feuded for the rest of 2005 before Edge sent Hardy to Smackdown. At New Year’s Revolution Edge cashed in his “Money in th Bank” title opportunity after a brutal Elimination Chamber match, John Cena had no chance. Alas, Edge lost the title to Cena 3 weeks later at the Royal Rumble.
Edge went on to hold the WWE Championship again in the summer of 2006 again losing the title to John Cena. Edge then decided to Team with fellow “Mega Heel” Randy Orton to take out DX, they actually succeeded at New Years Resolution in 2007 after Triple H injured his knee.Over the next couple of months Edge played “low key” on Raw until on night Mr Kennedy showed up. Edge challenged Kennedy to put up his “Money in the Bank” title match and won [obviously due to Undertaker and Kennedy's injuries]. The following Friday Edge showed up after Undertaker’s brutal cage match and Mark Henry’s attack and cashed in his Money in the Bank title oppritunity. He Beat “The Deadman” with no problem. Edge has gone on to be the top dog on Smackdown ever since and has captured the World Heavyweight Title 2 more times. Edge has become WWE’s biggest heel and made him a star.Edge will be rememberd for being the greatest hell in WWE since Triple H back in 2003.
